Counselor / Behavior Specialist
Susan has dedicated her career to working with people with intellectual disabilities and acquired brain injury. She has over 28 years experience and is a strong advocate for the people she serves. Susan has strong ethics and provides a unique approach to services. She has a variety of tools and knowledge that she applies to her practice. Susan uses a blend of ABA principles and Evidence-Based Therapeutic Practices. In addition, she is a Supervisor of Record to clinicians seeking licensure in the field of Social Work.
Susan enjoys hiking, kayaking, long walks in the park, singing, spending time with her friends and family and her cat, Delta Dawn.
Susan is a part-time adjunct professor at the Kent School of Social Work/University of Louisville. Susan specializes in the area of trauma work, dbt emotional regulation and social and sexual support for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Susan has been invited to speak at a variety of conferences and organizations to enhance their awareness to support staff and individuals we serve.
